Iceland Volcano Ash shuts down basically all the airports in Europe

and until now, I didn’t realize how large a role air travel played in my life. Even when I’m not flying, which, let’s face it, is most of the time.

The couchsurfers who were supposed to stay with me this weekend had their flight here canceled, so they couldn’t come.

Ducker’s flight (supposed to arrive tomorrow) was canceled, so instead we’re meeting up in Berlin (sort of close) on Thursday. I don’t know what to do about the concert we were going to see on Wednesday in Brussels. (and all of this assumes that airspace is going to reopen by Wednesday, which depends on whether the volcano keeps erupting).

International buses & trains are *booked*.

What next? No fruit?
